A message for Oracle Women Leadership (OWL) workshop guests:
Thank you for inviting me to your Oracle offices in Orlando to meet the dedicated women and men of Oracle. I'm excited that you all were open to the message of mindfulness and meditation to help you reach peak performance.
Many of you reached out with additional questions. We book 30 minute and 1-hour virtual consultations. You can email info@drromie.com for rates and how to schedule the time to consult together.
Remember that your mind is strong medicine.
With a heart full of gratitude,
Dr. Romie

What would make you happy today?
Leaving your work at the office this weekend?
Opening that bottle of Rose?
Achieving your 4th quarter sales goals early?
Planning a well-deserved vacation?
What if the answer to happiness was not in any of these kinds of desires, and something much more simple? In the following article I will discuss the mindfulness-based techniques backed by neuroscience and psychology that you can start today for a happier workplace.

DO YOU HAVE A BUSY BRAIN?
So let's start with what I call the ‘busy brain.’ When we are in the busy brain state, we can find ourselves overthinking, and in the situation of, "I can't shut my thoughts off at night."
I would like to introduce you to my simple mindful prescription that I have been teaching to corporate clients all over the United States. This practice is based on brain science, psychology, and mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques. I include a simple five-step meditation practice that anyone can start at home. The goal of this practice is to reduce stress levels, improve sleep, and feel more focused during your work day.

Is the start summer holiday season feeling like a hot mess with stress?
Holiday long weekends, barbecues, and family reunions bring a mixture of joy, food, & sometimes added drama, trauma and stress.
With children out of school, work and home can become a bigger juggling act. Do the lines at the theme parks, movie theaters, and restaurants seem a little longer, hotter, and unmanageable?
I had to be reminded to rest and take a break this week while traveling with a corporate client in South Carolina.

Some days it doesn’t take much to feel stressed out: a horrible morning commute, a hectic day at work, arriving home in the evening to find breakfast dishes still in the sink and dinner left to cook. You realize that it will be hours before you are able to kick back and relax. So much to do–and so little time. And it can feel impossible to de-stress, be mindful and find the calm that’s key to being the real you: productive, creative and innovative.
